What Is a Private Medical Clinic That Is Not Covered By RAMQ?<\/strong>

LeBlanc + Savaria clinics are private medical clinics. Our doctors have opted out of the R\u00e9gie de l\u2019assurance maladie du Qu\u00e9bec. This means that your consultation and treatment fees cannot be reimbursed by RAMQ. This is why our fees are not covered by the R\u00e9gie de l\u2019assurance maladie du Qu\u00e9bec (RAMQ). Therefore, you will have to pay the fees when you visit the clinic.<\/p> <\/div>

Can I choose your clinic even if I already have a family doctor in the public system?<\/strong><\/strong>

Yes. You may access complementary services here. This does not affect your file or your status with your family doctor or within the public healthcare system.<\/p> <\/div>

Is It Possible That I Will Be Referred to a Specialist in the Public System?<\/strong>

Yes, our clinics can refer you to a specialist in the public system. If the waiting time in the public system is too long, we can also refer you to a private centre, and we would advise you of the fees associated with this examination.<\/p> <\/div>

Can I Have My Medical File Sent to You if You Become My Family Doctor?<\/strong>

With your permission and your signature, we can have the documents required for your follow-up, or even your complete medical file, transferred to our clinics.<\/p> <\/div>

What is the difference between a medical consultation with a doctor or a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>

Both medical consultations with a doctor or a Nurse Practitioner offer significant benefits for patients. While doctors provide in-depth medical expertise, Nurse Practitioners, with their advanced training and extensive clinical skills, can also diagnose certain illnesses and prescribe treatments. Access to Nurse Practitioners enables the provision of more accessible and affordable quality care. Nurses are known for being attentive, empathetic, and recognized medical professionals with sharp clinical judgment. In our clinics, a consultation with a Nurse Practitioner is available for the following services: emergency, medical consultation, adult or child health assessment, women’s health, men’s health, STI\/STD screening, mental health, and hormone therapy.<\/p> <\/div>

Do you accept patients without a RAMQ card?<\/strong><\/strong>

What is your appointment cancellation policy?<\/strong>

If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please inform us at least 1 hour in advance for an emergency appointment, and at least 24 hours in advance for a check-up or dermatological consultation. Failure to do so will result in a charge equivalent to 50% of the consultation fee. Please understand that this minimum notice gives us the opportunity to allocate this time slot to another patient.\u00a0If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us at 450-434-2009<\/a> (option #2). Do I have to pay a fee to become a clinic patient?<\/strong><\/strong>

Yes. When a patient visits the clinic, an annual medical support fee of $50 applies for clinical management and active maintenance of the medical record as part of the provision of private medical care.This fee is valid for the current calendar year (January 1 to December 31) and is payable only if the patient consults or receives medical services during this period. No fee is charged for a year without consultation.\u00a0The annual period is based on the calendar year and not on a rolling 12-month period following the payment date.The medical support fee is inseparable from the provision of medical care and does not constitute a membership or subscription fee.It covers in particular:\u2022 Continuous, confidential, and secure management of medical records by medical staff\u2022 Clinical monitoring of test results, analyses, and prescriptions\u2022 Access to the PIC nursing program, ensuring a clinical link with the medical team\u2022 Clinical coordination between the clinic, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionalsThis fee is non-refundable, as it provides access to support and medical coordination services.Payment of this fee does not guarantee a medical appointment. Are the costs reimbursed by private medical insurance?<\/strong>

Most of our fees are reimbursable by private insurance plans. We will provide you with a receipt so that you can submit your claim to your insurer.<\/p> <\/div>

Where Can I Go to Have a Blood Draw Done?<\/strong>

Blood draws can be taken at our clinics or at a hospital. If you decide to have them done at our centre, you will be contacted by a nurse in the following days to give you the results once they have been interpreted by the doctor. Depending on the tests that are carried out, the delay can be from 48 working hours to a few weeks. However, if you choose to use the services of the public system, your results will be sent to our clinics, and a copy will be placed in your file at the medical centre where the blood analysis was carried out.<\/p> <\/div>

Do I Need a Medical Prescription for Laboratory Analyses?<\/strong>

A medical request is required in order to proceed with laboratory analyses. If you do not have a doctor, you can make an appointment at our clinics for a medical consultation. The corresponding fees will be charged.<\/p> <\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
