For some infections, such as herpes and condylomata (genital warts), a diagnosis is also based on a clinical assessment of symptoms or visible lesions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" animate__fadeIn toAnimate\">It is recommended that you be tested for STBBIs after any risky sexual encounter without protection, with inadequate protection (condom tear), or after sharing sex toys, syringes or other injection equipment.
