Frequently asked questions

Are your services covered by my private insurance?

Some insurance companies reimburse consultation fees, and most reimburse laboratory fees. It is advisable, however, to check your coverage with your insurer.

Is there a charge for follow-ups after the first appointment?

Yes, every time you see a doctor in one of our clinics, a fee will be charged, whether it’s for a follow-up, re-evaluation, an adjustment, or for monitoring medication, whether the reason for your consultation is the same or not.

Can I discuss several health problems in a single consultation?

Since the medical consultation is for a fixed period of time, the doctor will be able to discuss a single health problem with you, so as to properly assess your situation and make the right diagnosis. If you wish to discuss more than one problem, we recommend that you make an appointment for a complete checkup.

Can I consult a doctor if I’m not a Canadian citizen?

Absolutely. Non-residents of Canada will be required to pay a $50 fee. A “Non-resident” form must be completed.

What is a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?

A Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who has obtained a Master of Nursing Science degree after completing a Bachelor of Nursing Science and accumulating 3600 hours of practice in a chosen specialty. They possess advanced clinical skills and can diagnose certain illnesses, prescribe treatments, and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals. This role, established through a partnership between the Quebec Order of Nurses and Nurses and the College of Physicians, aims to provide more accessible and affordable quality care while relieving pressure on the healthcare system.
