Say yes to the CardioSTAT recorder!
Cardiovascular diseases include myocardial disorders and cardiac arrhythmias. Since these disorders can occur only briefly or irregularly, to detect them properly, your doctor will want to know your cardiac activity during your daily activities over a variable period of a few days. He or she will ask you to perform a continuous ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) using a monitor that continuously records the heart’s electrical activity.
ECG readings that really represent your daily life
Conventional heart rate recorders (commonly known as “Holters”) have been around for a long time, but they’re inconvenient and cumbersome. Good news! Now there’s the CardioSTAT recorder (a compact, discreet and comfortable heart rate monitor), which lets you go about your business freely and gives you a heart rate reading that’s far more representative of your daily activities.
CardioSTAT, offered at the LeBlanc+Savaria clinic
CardioSTAT is a unique ECG monitoring system, designed to be worn on the upper torso for up to 14 consecutive days. In addition to reducing diagnostic time, it provides a positive patient experience. Available in 3 recording durations (48 h, 7 days or 14 days), CardioSTAT is easy to install and does not affect sleep. Unlike the Holter, it’s cordless and no large adhesives are used on the skin, so you can stay active all day long.
