Personalized follow-up
At LeBlanc + Savaria, we understand that the symptoms of a mental health diagnosis involve a series of variables. Unlike an injury, mental health is often invisible and neglected in the absence of significant events or major chronic problems. People can mask their symptoms for years, even decades. The idea of being perceived as “sick” or of being criticized for not knowing how to manage their emotions better leads even more people to hide what’s really going on.
Assessment, support resources and care tailored to your needs
Although mental disorders are often complex, they can be managed. Our team is able to assess each case individually and propose a set of actions designed to improve the patient’s quality of life. Whether it’s burnout, anxiety disorders (social anxiety or social phobia, panic disorder, specific phobia, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety), mood disorders, chronic fatigue or depression, the specialists at LeBlanc + Savaria clinics work with each person individually on his or her journey.
When therapeutic follow-up is recommended, we can direct our patients to the appropriate support resources, such as the guichet d’aide en santé mentale adulte (GASMA), where teams of psychologists, social workers, special educators, occupational therapists, nurses and psychiatrists from the public health care system will analyze your case. When indicated, medication may be prescribed by our doctors. They can also monitor and adjust treatment prescriptions.
